Having real control over what all enters our dogs’ tummies calls for preparing a snack or two with our very own hands. Though it might be a bit time-consuming process to prepare all this stuff, all the efforts are worth it for your pooch to stay healthy. 1) Frozen Apple Dog Treat: This is the perfect cooling treat for your pooch to beat the summer heat.
Ingredients: 2 Apples, 1 Cup Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt, and Water.
Directions: The apples need to be sliced into small sections. Remember to remove the seeds/pip and tough central part/core from the fruit. Combine apple slices, yogurt, and some water in a blender and blend them to get a liquid consistency. Pour the concoction into an ice cube tray and let it set in the freezer until hard.

Place the cut-outs on an evenly greased cookie sheet and bake them at 350 degrees for about 12 minutes for the bottoms to turn a little brown. Remove from the oven and let the treats cool down. Ingredients: 32 Ounces Vanilla Yogurt & 1 Cup Peanut Butter.
Directions: Melt the peanut butter in the microwave. Mix the melted peanut butter and yogurt. Transfer the mixture to cupcake paper and place it in the freezer.
4) Banana- Almond Treats for puppies: These will help you a great deal while training your pup. Also, a little over-eating can be overlooked with this healthful homemade delicacy.
Ingredients: 1 Organic Egg, ¾ Cup Unsalted Almond Butter, 1/3 of an Organic Banana, and 1 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Then line a baking sheet/metal tray with parchment paper. Mash the banana in a big bowl. Once the banana is mashed add to it the remaining ingredients. Blend them together with a fork. The resultant batter must be thick and gooey. Scoop out tiny dollops onto the parchment paper and place in the oven for 5 minutes. Post this you will have to rotate the baking pan and bake for another 5 minutes. Remove the treats from the oven and let them cool. These should ideally last for about a week.

Ingredients: Potato & Unseasoned Portion of Meat.
Directions: Cut the two ingredients into ½ inch thick pieces and cover them with a little cooking spray. Preheat an oven to 200 degrees. Bake these ingredients until they dry up.
